Challenge
Queensland based engineering, procurement and construction company PEMS approached Delta Fire looking for a fire suppression system for a PNG facility. A foam pourer for an internal floating roof tank was required. The tank was used to store volatile liquids, which posed a fire threat to the facility.
Although Delta Fire was commissioned to provide a single foam pourer, after a complete fire safety assessment, we found a unit that led to a revision of the chamber pourers.
Solution
Delta Fire developed guidance regarding suitable pourers to achieve the appropriate safety standards. We also reviewed cooling rings and fire monitoring solutions for the site.
As a result, we designed a system compliant with NFPA standards and the best outcomes to mitigate risk.
Aside from delivering the best solutions and highest quality products, we provided the technical services most needed to protect their assets.
